Only 25 minutes away, Savannah has the largest urban historic
district in the country. This distinctive southern city is
home to jazz and film festivals, movie productions (Midnight
in the Garden of Good and Evil, Forest Gump), Savannah College
of Arts and Design, historic tours, local museums, and all
the services and shopping that a large urban area offers.
River Street is probably the most famous area in town with
it's Cobblestone streets and quaint shops that offer clothing,
jewelry and interesting collectibles from around the
world. There are also many dining options that can be found on
River Street from hot dogs and ice cream to the best seafood
in town or a night on the town. |
